Contests for Students


Contests for students may be conducted through the school only with the recommendation of the school principal and the prior approval of the Superintendent. The Superintendent may approve contests which are in good taste and which promote the educational, civic, social, or emotional development of the participants. The Superintendent shall approve no contest which is primarily designed to advance the commercial or private interests of any group. In deciding whether or not to approve any contest, the Superintendent shall take into account the organization which is sponsoring the contest, the views of the professionals concerning the contest and the number of contests already approved for the year.
